The best ways to get started is head on over to Blogger com and build a blog. Now, don’t back away just yet, this is the easy part. How To Increase Your Alexa Rank For More Profits

Alexa rank. Why is it important for some and not others? Does it really matter? And most importantly, how do you increase your Alexa Score?

Some people swear by their Alexa rank while others swear at it. The argument over whether or not Alexa rankings are important won’t be solved here. The simple fact is that your Alexa rank may be very important to you depending upon which type of website you have.

Alexa is a website that provides traffic information on other websites.

The Alexa Rank comes when Alexa computes the traffic numbers and ranks websites in terms of popularity as determined by the number of visitors to that site that have the Alexa Toolbar installed.

Why Is The Alexa Rank Important?

The Alexa Rank is important to only a small number of web users. Advertisers and Webmasters use the Alexa rank to help them determine (right or wrong) the worth of your site and links from your site.

There are some pay-per-post companies such as ReviewMe and SponsoredReviews that determine what they pay you based on your blogs Alexa ranking. Text-Link-Ads also determines both what you will pay for a link and what they will sell your links for based partly on the Alexa Rank.

When it means dollars and cents to your bank account, the Alexa Ranking becomes very important!

Here are just a few ways you can increase your Alexa Rank.

Since Alexa is geared toward Webmasters and Internet savy users, it stands to reason that visiting places such as Webmaster Forums and blogs plus Tech Forums and blogs will bring you visitors with the Alexa Toolbar installed on their browser if you leave comments with your URL. Thus increasing your Alexa rank.

Write articles for Webmasters and other Internet Tech types. These people are more likely to have the Alexa tool bar installed on their computers.

Download the toolbar from Alexa and visit your site at least once per day.

Have your friends and Family download the tool bar and visit your site at least once per day.

If you work in an office and can swing it, have the Alexa toolbar installed on the Office computers and set the default homepage as your site. That way, each day when the computers are started, you page gets a visit from a computer with the Alexa toolbar installed.

Put the Alexa Rank widget on your website. I’ve heard several people mention that a browser clicking on the Widget will count as a popularity vote, although I’m not sure about this. Doesn’t hurt to try.

Use Alexa redirects on your website url. I’ve never seen an “Official” word for Alexa whether or not this actually works, but I know plenty of Webmasters who swear by it. Your mileage may vary.

Get StumbledUpon or Dugg. Social Network members are more likely to have an Alexa toolbar on their browsers and a flood of traffic from these sites can skyrocket your Alexa rank!

That’s about all there is too it. There are other methods, some shady, some not so, but these are the most popular IMHO.

If you’re an average Internet user who has a non-Tech and non-Webmaster related site and do not care about pay or link advertising, then the Alexa rank probably doesn’t mean a hill-of-beans to you. Don’t sweat it!

There’s a lot of people out there making money online with low Alexa Rankings!

9 Quick Ways To Increase Your Technorati Rank

Increasing your Technorati rank can lead to a larger payday for many bloggers. This comes as a surprise to many blog owners. Your Technorati rank can be just as valuabel to link brokers and advertisers as your Alexa rank.

So let me start by telling you what the Technorati rank is.

The Technorati rank is how many other blogs in Technorati actually link back to your blog. Not how many blogs link back to you, but how many blogs Technorati knows about that link back to yours.

It’s important to understand that a blog has to be claimed by its owner on Technorati. To claim it, all you do is open a free account with Technorati and follow directions on how to claim your blog.

Why Your Technorati Rank Is Important

Many bloggers and Webmasters do not understand why a blogs Technorati ranking is important. If you don’t care about selling ads or links on your blog, then the Technorati rank is probably worthless to you. On the other hand, a low Technorati rank (low means good here) can increase the amount you’re paid for links or sponsored reviews.

Now to the good stuff. Here’s some ideas on how to increase your Technorati rank.

First thing is to put one of those Technorati badges on your blog. This makes it easier for people to “Fav” your blog, which gives you a point.

Simply asking others to “Fav” your blog on Technorati works wonders.

If you have other blogs, claim those under your account and link to your main blog.

Although considered a no-no by many, Digital Point’s buy and sell forum has many offers of people willing to sell you a link. It’s not hard to find people with hundreds of blogs willing to post an article on their network with a link back to your site.

The truly White Hat way to increase your Technorati ranking is to write unique and compelling content. Great content will generate links by itself.

I’ve had marginal success at commenting on do-follow blogs. The link you get back will count toward your rank if the blog your commenting on is claimed.

Linking out to post on other blogs can help you if the track back is a do-follow.

“Fav”‘ing other Technorati users post. This brings your blog to the attention of other Technorati users. In turn, many will visit your blog and link back. This can be an effective strategy if you have time to visit a lot of Technorati users.

Run a Contest or give something away. Everyone loves to link to a great online contest or a blog that is giving away cool stuff. Just make sure you ask your readers to link back to you. You might even give them extra “entries” into the contest for writing a post on their blog about your contest. This can increase your rank tremendously in a short time period.

These may sound like simple steps to take, but you’ll be surprised at how many bloggers fail to take advantage of a low Technorati rank. Like I said earlier, if you’re not into selling links or ad space, then you shouldn’t lose sleep over your Technorati rank. Sometimes it’s a fun challenge just to go out and see how high you can get your rank. Now you know how to increase your Technorati rank quickly and easily.

The website AffiliateWatcher.Com brings you these traffic tips. He reviews affiliate programs and other money making ventures that helps beginners get started in Affiliate Marketing. See how he managed to get his blog into the Top 5k of Technorati here: How to Increase Your Technorati Rank.

Too Many Blog Traffic Strategies, Which One To Use?

Filed under: Blogging — alexinspire @ 12:00 am

I believe that you have read lots of different blog traffic strategies if you have been blogging for some time. So, which one is the best method? Is it search engine optimization or pay-per-click? Is it the free ones or the paying ones?

The answer is…

It depends on your blog topic. As a blogger, you should choose which traffic strategies fit your blog instead of trying to figure out which one is the best. The magic question you should ask yourself to get the answer is “What visitors I want and where they usually go?”

After testing more than 10 different traffic strategies for my blogs, my results shows me the there are 3 sources of traffic every blogger should get is:

1. Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

You might already heard SEO. And would probably love to get traffic from Google. However, you are also convinced that it is hard and complicated. Well, blogs have lots of advantages in SEO. Google love blogs because blogs always provide fresh and lots of content. I rank high for many keywords with blogs easily. All you need to do is learn and apply the SEO basics. The first step is to optimize my blog for SEO. Next, I’ll start writing original and valuable blog post consistently. Finally, I’ll build backlinks by submitting articles and web directories. This is not hard but it takes time to reach. Probably 2-3 months.

2. Blog Commenting

Give valuable comments to other blogs which are related to your blog. The purpose of this is not to get readers to click on your link to your blog. Of course, it will be some bonus traffic. However, the main objective is to make new friends who share the same passion- blogging and talking about the same topic. When you have more blogging friends, all of you could help each other. They could recommend your blog to their readers if you write something good. You can do the same to provide more value to your readers too.

3. Word Of Mouth

Believe it or not, blogs are very powerful at word of mouth. Since the day I’ve learn about blog, I shared many blogs to all of my friends. I didn’t share that for some ‘Good Blogger’s Practice’. I shared them because I love those blogs. Their content helps me and I think it will help my friends. My friends thank me for sharing with them and I bring traffic to those blogs. If you are interested in people spreading the word for you, always remember this: ‘Provide Valuable Content’. Write contents or put up your own video that provide values to others.

4. Article Marketing

This is my favorite. This traffic strategy doesn’t takes months. You could start getting traffic from Article Marketing within days. All you need to do is write articles your targeted visitors want to read. Submit those articles you wrote to 5 popular article directories. You could start getting some traffic within a week and automated traffic over years. However, it is important to write a lot and not just few. Another benefit from using article marketing is that you can simply rewrite them in an informal style and post it on your blog. Both articles have similar contents but looks different. With this method, you are able to get traffic and update fresh content for your blog as well.

5. Forum Marketing

Forum marketing is fun and easy to many blogging beginners because all you need to do is chat in an online forum. Register an account and include a link to your blog in your signature. You might get some traffic if you reply often to the members’ post. But if you are interested in more traffic, learn to start a new topic. Start an interesting topic with an attractive title. If your topic draws people’s attention and replies, people would like to check out your blog to see anything more from you.

These are the 5 traffic strategies I recommend all beginners should start with. Although all of them take time to grow, it will grow into huge traffic streams and it is effortless to maintain.

How to Increase Reader Loyalty On Your Blog

Filed under: Blogging — jonhook @ 12:00 am

Seems like almost everyone has a blog these days. A lot of profitable niches have developed, and it’s no secret that blogging is big business. With so much competition in nearly every area, you have to pay attention and be proactive to ensure that you get your share of the market. Do you know how to increase reader loyalty on your blog? Can you develop a site that puts you ahead of the rest and gives people a reason to return?

Make Reading Your blog A Habit They Can’t Shake

It may seem obvious, but the most important thing that you can do to endear yourself to your readers is to give them a steady supply of great, original content. That means plenty of entertainment and value packed into an easy to read format. Don’t forget to make your words positive. Negativity turns people off and readers away. If you can perfect all that, you’ll turn the blog reader into a junkie for your words. They won’t be able to resist coming back for more.

Feed The Habit

Once you get those repeat returns, don’t ignore them! Use your brilliant copy to encourage comments, and be sure that you respond. Answer any questions posed, and make a remark or two about notes left. Don’t forget to thank anyone who takes the time and trouble to leave a few words. Make sure your loyal followers know that you appreciate them, and they’ll respond in kind.

Get Them Addicted

Another way to give your readers warm, fuzzies about you and your blog is to link to them. Allow hyperlinking of their name, have a sidebar list of recent visitors with the hyperlinked name, or if appropriate, occasionally incorporate a reader’s link into your copy, making sure that you do it in such a way that it makes sense, of course. Your popularity will skyrocket with readers who will feel like they’re part of your “club”. You’ll have spotlighted them and made them feel important. That’s like gluing a person to your blog.

Seal A Bonus Deal

If you want to go one step further, then surprise your loyal readers by visiting their blogs or sites and leaving comments. You may even want to invite some of the more talented folks to submit a guest post. You’ll be building relationships that will last a long time, assuming you continue good care.

Get The Word Out

It probably goes without saying, but make it easy for people to sign up for email alerts. You’ve gone to all the trouble of making a really good blog and taking good care of those who read it, so now encourage them to leave their names and email addresses in a simple and easy to find form. Let them know that their life will be made simpler by taking a second to go to the trouble. Every time you post a new entry, they will receive a notification in their inbox, complete with handy link back to your blog. Initially, if it’s a new blog, you may only get a few, but if you’re providing a really good, useful read, the numbers will continue to grow and grow.

Not all people are into using RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds yet, but it’s a good idea to make the option available for those who aren’t shy to use it and for those who dislike signing up for emails. You may still get some of the traffic with the feed button that would otherwise be missed. As it is automatic and time saving, there will be some for whom this quick method will be perfect.

So, now you know how to increase reader loyalty on your blog. If you follow the suggestions in this article, you will have a dedicated group of readers who will support you for a long time to come.

Happy blogging!

Blogging and Web 2.0 - Blogging for the New Age

Filed under: Blogging — bauger @ 12:00 am

The new world of Web 2.0 has provided bloggers with an entirely new way of creating blogs that are interesting, compelling and informative. Not only that but the web 2.0 world allows bloggers to post their blogs to several networks at once with just a click of a button and a log in.

In fact, there are even software applications that will allow you to post to multiple sites at the same time. This can be a dream or a nightmare for many people who blog. A dream because it allows you to gain a greater amount of exposure across a wider market. This means more traffic and for many people who blog more traffic means more money and better rankings.

It can also be a nightmare because even with the use of software to assist in the actual uploading of the blog posts onto various sites you still have to remember all the usernames and passwords. This can be a real hassle for many bloggers despite the benefits of being able to post to several different sites at the same time.

One of the great things about blogs is the fact that you can do so many things with them. You can have a blog that posts both audio and visual clips; you can post pictures, even link to other sites easily and without too much difficulty. It is not hard to post these clips, links and pictures. Often time it is just a matter of uploading, if you are hosting the additions you are seeking to add or putting in the link where the file can be found.

You can even embed. Embedding means to place the clip or picture directly into your blog so that it can be viewed and loaded from the blog rather than through a secondary source. This is of benefit to a number of people because it actually increases the amount of traffic that you can get from any given site.

It also makes your blog more interesting as a result more people are going to become repeat traffic. Repeat traffic tends to advertise for you and that in turn increases the number of people who visit. While most bloggers do not do it primarily as a source of income, there is still a great deal of satisfaction to see a number of people visiting the blog, making comments and reading what you have to say.

There are a number of business applications for blogs as well. There are some businesses that use the blog as a way to bring traffic to their website, others who use it as a way to informally get to know their clients and be able to field what their clients are looking for. Others just use the blog as a way to keep people updated on the latest news with the business and what the plans are for the future of the site. Blogs have a way of becoming addicting. They are fun, they allow you to express yourself in ways you may never be able to do in person and they can be a powerful business tool.

Do Longer Blog Post Equal Higher Rankings?

How long should your blog post be?

Ever since I started blogging a few years ago, that is one of the questions new bloggers have asked. The blog Guru’s will tell you that blog post need to be short. The theory is that if you make longer post, the reader will get bored and leave your site.

I naturally write long articles so it was hard for me to follow the 250 to 500 word blog post unspoken rule.

If you’re only interested in attracting Social traffic, stick to making those short, concise post. Most Social readers have shorter attention spans than a 3 year old, especially if they come from Digg.

If on the other hand, you want your post to rank high in Google SERPS and bring in loads of targeted organic search traffic, you’re more likely to do it with longer keyword optimized post than shorter ones.

You’ll also naturally have more long tail keywords in your long blog post. Long tail keywords bring in more targeted organic traffic to your site.

If you run a content rich site with Adsense, you can increase your CTR with longer post and articles. Why? Because you’ll stand a better chance of the reader losing interest and clicking on an Adsense ad. Yeah, I know, it’s a pretty underhanded Adsense trick hunh? But it works.

You should also be aware that you’ll probably lose a few RSS subscribers who do not like long post, but you’ll also gain a few more who feel long post are more informative and detailed. They’ll see you as a detailed authority on the subject.

If you’re worried about losing your RSS subscribers to long post, here are a few tips that will help you keep them interested and to optimize your long post.

Use the H3 tag to break up your long post into sections. Properly constructed H3 headings also add SEO benefits to your long post.

Use bullets and numbers to break up list or for making points.

Use blockquotes when quoting others or for highlighting a resource.

Use Bold, Italics and Colored Text to get your point across and to break up your long post.

Not all of your long post have to be a War and Peace novels. Just the really important post you want to expand on and the ones you want top rankings for.

Don’t worry about mixing long and short blog post. I’ve done it on my blog for nearly 2 years now and I reaping the benefits of knowing that longer blog post equal higher rankings.

Blogging Scripts- Free Interrelated Roadmap For Bloggers

Filed under: Blogging — contactdeepak @ 12:00 am

I am sure your quest for free blogging scripts has come to an end as you read this article. Yes, gone are those days when we have to search endlessly for free blogging scripts information or other such information like career mom blog, fashion magazine subscriptions, SharePoint blog site or even domain hosting. Even without articles such as this, with the Internet all you have to do is log on and use any of the search engines to find the free blogging scripts information you need.

Now that you are beginning to get familiar with your niche you will be researching and learning more and more. Then you may begin to compose your knowledge and share it with others in the form of articles.

Add some personality to your blog. Ideally, your blog is “information for information seekers”, but the fact of the matter is that your readers are people too and will identify with you as the author if you “humanize” your blog posts with some humor, anecdotes or day-to-day experiences.

You have your own domain name and web hosting, but you decide to host your blog elsewhere. Why? If your website is www dot com then your blog should be hosted .There is no reason for you to use an external blog service. First of all, you are putting the control of your blog in their hands- what happens when they decide to erase it? - Believe me, it happens. The second reason this is silly is because you should want to brand yourself and your business. Using another company’s domain is great for their branding but not yours.

I know that as informative as this article is, it might not adequately cover your free blogging scripts quest. If this is so, don’t forget that the search engines like Dog pile exist for looking up more information about free blogging scripts.

In the sales model, you devote a blog to a single product, or range of products. When offline companies start blogs, their blogs are sales blogs - they’re using their blogs to sell their products. If you have products that you want to sell, a sales blog is an excellent business model. You could sell a product that you’ve created - an ebook, a DVD, or art work - or products that you buy from others, and resell.

This really is a general overview of web logging for money, which is a big picture. However, do be reassured of its relative ease. The most important thing is just to make a start. Identify what you wish to write the blog about, register a free web logging account at BlogSpot or Word press, and then start posting! After that, you will surely pick up hints and tips about monetization and driving traffic along the way. Many internet marketers will confirm that blog optimization is a lifelong learning process, so do not feel you have to get it right first time. Web logging for money should be fun, so ensure you enjoy the process.

Also, search engines are more likely to spider your site regularly if you update your content frequently. With blog software, making changes to the text on your web pages is as simple as sending an email; you just fill in a subject line and post body and then click submit.

Many people searching for free blogging scripts also searched online for internet blog, Punjabi language, and even cheap domain hosting.
