Coaching Website Mistakes - Avoid These Website Mistakes If You Want A Successful Coaching Business

Filed under: Coaching — lynnelee @ 12:00 am

Simple website mistakes can cost you potential clients, lost revenue, frustration by the bucket load, and jeopardize the success of your coaching business.

It takes time to establish a successful coaching business, so make sure you give your business the best chance of success by getting your coaching website right the first time. Your website is one of your most important marketing tools, if you avoid these common mistakes when you create your coaching website, you will be way ahead of the competition.

Lack Of Focus

Your goals for your coaching website need to be clear, detailed and time-specific. They need to be like a road map, helping you to make good decisions and get closer and closer to a successful coaching business. If your website goals are fuzzy you’ll struggle to put all the pieces together and build a site that attracts your ideal clients to you.

Trying To Appeal To Everyone

You website needs to be aimed at a specific target market with a specific problem. There are a lot of coaches out there, you need to stand out from you competitors and have a clear message. It’s not enough to tell your visitors that you’re a coach and can help them solve their problems and be successful. You need to demonstrate that you understand your visitor’s pain and have a solution, and you need to do that in the first few seconds or your visitor will click away.

If your website is targeted towards a specific target market with a specific problem - such as first time mums, aged 25 to 35, who are working and overwhelmed with the responsibility of being a mum, wife and breadwinner you will find it much easier to grab their attention and offer a solution.

Talking about you and about coaching rather than your visitor and the solution to their problem

Your visitors don’t buy coaching, they buy solutions to problems. Your website needs to demonstrate that you understand their problem and have the solution. That’s what your visitors are looking for and that’s what they will buy.

Not having enough keyword rich content

Many coaching websites don’t have enough content. Your website needs to demonstrate that you are an expert and that you have solutions that will produce results. You need to prove to your visitors that you can help them, so provide keyword rich content that builds credibility, helps you to connect on a deep level and encourages potential clients to take action.

Not knowing your most wanted response and not having a clear call to action

Your website needs to lead your visitors to take action that will help them to solve their problem. If you don’t have a clear sense of what you want your visitors to do, they won’t know what to do and are likely to click away and never return. Your website needs to encourage your visitor to take action and leave them in no doubt about what they need to do and how to do it.

Guessing at the keywords potential clients will use to find your site

If you target the wrong keywords you will wait for months and still not get search engine traffic to your site. You need to research the keywords clients use to search for what you offer and focus your content around those keywords. Only then will your site have any chance of being listed on the first page of Google.

Why does your site need to be on the first page of Google? Because 90% of searchers don’t bother to look beyond the first page of search results! If your website isn’t on the first page of search results it will be virtually invisible to the people you want to find it.

If you are making the mistake of focusing your coaching website around keywords that hardly anyone is searching for and know you need to do keyword research but hate the idea or don’t know how, you could pay someone to do keyword research for you, or you could buy already researched keyword lists.

Whatever you do, don’t guess at the keyword phrases your potential clients will use to search for what you have to offer.

If you are ready to target coaching keyword phrases that will help your site to climb in the search engine rankings, Click here for your ready made master coaching keyword list.

The best keywords for your coaching niche are just a few clicks away.

Self Help: the Bottom-line For All Success and Achievement is Your BELIEFS

Filed under: Coaching — johnmiltonfogg @ 12:00 am

Do you agree with what the greatest Self-Help Success author of all time Napoleon Hill (author of Think & Grow Rich) said, “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe it will achieve”?

I’ve learned– often the hard ways– that what your mind believes you will ALWAYS achieve: Good, bad or indifferent. Unless and until something comes along to “change your mind.”

Your beliefs create your paradigm of life– the way it is, whatever the “it” is we’re talking about. There are paradigms for every domain of life and work.

A paradigm is your belief about the way it is. It’s your “worldview” of the matter no matter what’s the matter.

A classic example of a marketplace paradigm (worldview, belief) is the wristwatch: Until the 1970s, geared timepieces– the “Swiss watch”– were the dominant paradigm; jeweled movements, mainsprings, winding mechanisms (think Rolex). With the development of cheap semi-conductors and wafer thin batteries, the quartz watch (think Seiko)– with its greater accuracy and low price– became the new paradigm of wristwatches.

In a more a human arena, a paradigm is the underlying belief we are operating from.

Our beliefs are habits of thought– those things we think about a given subject most consistently and frequently and for the longest time– and the associated feelings that come with those thoughts. Beliefs and memories are the same thing. A memory becomes a belief the more often it’s recalled and the more powerfully we infuse it with our emotional energy.

One important thing to know about our beliefs and memories is they are NOT the truth. They are always our interpretations of events in the past. Just like six eye-witnesses to the same street crime will describe six different sets of details… or at various stages and ages in our lives we remember the exact same incident very differently.

Our memories and beliefs– our paradigms– are NOT real. We MAKE THEM UP.

And they can change in an instant when new, more compelling information becomes available.

The following is a true story told by Frank Koch, which appeared in an issue of Proceedings, the magazine of the United States Naval Institute. It dramatically illustrates how one simple, yet profound new bit of information completely changed a very big paradigm 180 degrees in an instant.

As background, let me explain that at the time of this story, a battleship was THE most formidable navel war vessel in the world. It was three football fields long (longer than most skyscrapers are tall), weighed 50,000 tons and carried a crew of 1500 sailors. It also had nine 16″ guns that could fire a one-ton explosive “bullet” and blow up a target as small as a tank 23 miles away.

Two battleships assigned to the training squadron had been at sea on maneuvers in heavy weather for several days. Koch was serving on the lead battleship and was standing watch on the bridge as night fell. He recounts his experience.

“The visibility was extremely poor with patchy fog, so the captain remained on the bridge, keeping an eye on our navigation activities.”

“Shortly after dark, the lookout on the wing of the bridge reported, ‘Light, bearing on the starboard bow!’

“The captain called out, ‘Is it steady or moving astern?’

“The lookout replied, ‘Steady, captain,’ which meant that we were on a collision course with that source of light.

“The captain then called to the signalman, ‘Signal that ship: We are on a collision course. . . advise you change course 20 degrees.’

“Back came the signal from the other ship. ‘Advisable for you to change course 20 degrees!’

“The captain barked, ‘Send, I’m a captain. . . change course 20 degrees immediately.’

“‘I’m a seaman second-class,’ came the reply. ‘You had better change course 20 degrees!’”

“By this time, the captain was furious. He spat out, ‘Send, I am a battleship! Change course 20 degrees.’

“Back came the signal from the flashing light. . .’

“I am a lighthouse. . .”

All it takes to change a paradigm– or a belief– even the most firmly entrenched and universally agreed upon, is one new piece of “compelling” information.

Admittedly, with a belief that you and I have held on to as our dominant paradigm for 20, 30, 40 years or more, that may require some focused and consistent effort over time. But if the experts are correct and you can establish a new habit in 21 to 28 days. . . you’re always less than one month away from changing your life for the better forever.

So, how do you know what your beliefs are?

Look at your life right now. . .

That’s what you have believed up ’til now.

Don’t like what you’ve got?

Change your beliefs.

It’s the only way.

Think of it like this:

Your beliefs are your operating system, and exactly like the OS Whatever (DOS, Mac, Linux, Unix) on your computer, your beliefs organize and control all your human hardware and software, so everything works the way it’s supposed to.

Now, you’d be crazy to run your computer with software developed back in the 1960s or ’70s. (The computer in your cell phone is more powerful than any desktop was just 20 years ago.) And you’d be totally nuts to depend on an operating system designed by a five or six-year old “programmer” wouldn’t you?

But that’s exactly the kind of software you’re using right this minute to run your life. . .

YOU OS 1.0: Fundamental beliefs MADE UP in the mind of a little child– and most probably a disappointed, dissatisfied, discouraged, disheartened little “programmer” trying desperately to safely navigate the stormy seas of life and protect him or herself from pain.

If you’re anxious about what other people think of you. . .

If you’re afraid of failure and rejection. . .

If you have any of the FADWAS (Fear, Anger, Doubt, Worry, Anxiety, Sadness) or more importantly, if they have you. . .

If no matter what you do it’s never good enough or never enough. . .

Then it’s time to install a new operating system.

As soon as possible would be good. And this time, preferably make it a system designed by an authentic, intelligent, sincere and serious adult who knows, likes and trusts you. One who cares very deeply about you and is passionately committed to your life and success.

Know anybody that fits that description perfectly?

You are “The One”: The best one. . . and really you’re the only one qualified for the job.

Problem is: This one is NOT one of those “Do it yourself” deals. Self-help won’t work too well here, because the “self” itself is part of the problem. As Professor Einstein was quoted as saying:

“We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them.”

Remember, our beliefs are habits of thought, so can you understand how those very same thoughts that formed our beliefs are neither willing nor able to un-make them?

When you’re working on developing and installing a new and improved Operating System– your fundamental beliefs about who and how you are, and the way life really is– self-help doesn’t work, because you and I are blind to the beliefs that limit us and stop us from living in 3D– as we Desire, Dream and Deserve.

We are battleships heading straight for a lighthouse.

Help– which has gotten a “bad rap” for many of us since childhood where it was mistakenly viewed as a sign of weakness (and has been negatively promoted as such by too many of the popular human potential gurus and their personal development workshops)- is absolutely what we need.

Help, in the form of new and more compelling information. (Again: “I am a lighthouse.”)

Help in the form of a new way of working directly with our beliefs that will shift unwanted, self-sabotaging beliefs to empowering beliefs that assure your success. . . fast, in a proven way that lasts.

What your mind believes you will achieve
- all ways and in all ways.

Thanks.
I appreciate you!

What is Emotional Intelligence?

Filed under: Coaching — healthpsych @ 12:00 am

Emotion and intelligence are two terms that are combined more as time passes. Many people have an innate ability to utilize the strengths of human nature to further success. Individuals with a high level of emotional intelligence have an insightful understanding of themselves and others. If a situation invokes stress, the person with a high level of emotional intelligence has an instinctive ability to console and comfort.

Individuals with high levels of emotional intelligence can easily empathize with others. They see the situation from another perspective without stress. While some people are born with abnormally high levels of emotional intelligence, it is a trait that the majority of people can learn. There are a myriad of benefits to EI encouragement. Individuals with high emotional intelligence are noted to achieve better results in projects. They can develop greater professional networks and achieve higher productivity.

Experts today cite many benefits to having a high level of EI. EI is usually measured by using four different areas of ability. The first level is that of general perception. What emotions are others feeling? People with a strong EI can detect the presence of emotion in themselves and others. They can often spot minor emotional problems that might lead to serious issues in the future.

The next area of measurement is that of using emotions. High EI often indicates a unique ability for problem solving and decision making. These cognitive traits are beneficial in the work environment. Experts have stated that emotional intelligence is the most important form of intelligence in the workplace. It is a natural process of motivation and problem management.

The third area of measurement in emotional intelligence is that of just understanding emotions. Human communication involves many forms of non-verbal language. People with high EI are capable of reading this emotional language in others. They are not intimidated by complicated relationships and can easily mediate disagreements. High EI individuals can coach positive emotions in co-workers and associates. They are wonderful motivators with a genuine and sincere enthusiasm. The are agile at goal setting and can direct a group towards achievable and rewarding project conclusions.

The final area of testing for EI is that of managing emotions. This is the ability to bring out the most positive and constructive emotions in everyone. Those with the ability to manage emotions can often overlook their negative feelings and maintain focus on goals and the necessary positive emotions to achieve them. EI-oriented individuals can gauge their own reactions and behaviors. This helps them see what influence their behaviors have on others before acting.

Emotional intelligence is a practical necessity in any office setting. The intensive self-reflection involved opens communication with others. High EI individuals can achieve much more through self awareness of goals and limitations. Because so many professions involve team atmospheres, emotional intelligence is a productive and beneficial element to the workplace.

People with high EI are frequently motivators. They are capable of understanding their personal moods and drives. They are equally capable of understanding the same qualities in others. They can urge fellow employees or teammates to strive for the best work possible. A person with high emotional intelligence has a strong ability to control or change negative feelings. They naturally think prior to behaving on an impulse.

Entrepreneurs are frequently gifted with a strong amount of EI. They have a zeal for their work that goes beyond money or status. This helps them realistically judge themselves and successfully interact with clients. EI allows an individual to break down major achievements into simple steps. This goal setting can have a positive impact on any developing industry.

General technical or mechanical intelligence will remain a valued trait in the business world. It is not the only strength examined today. A high level of emotional intelligence can improve the work experience and the work place.

Why Life Coaching Makes A Difference

If you are a high achiever; getting a life coach may not seem like the best of ideas. You may feel that a life coach may not give you much of a benefit. For almost all people, life coaches can make a difference. Join me as we take a look at how life coaching can make a difference, in your life.

I had the radio on downstairs at home. The radio was on a station which I don’t generally listen too, but was on. An advert came on which was presenting the station as the best choice because ‘getting up in the morning is always hard’, and the presenters can help you out of bed!

It dawned on me that many people have such a problem. Usually it is something to do with working in a job that has no satisfaction. I found it odd, because for me predominantly, I can jump out of bed on a Monday feeling inspired, and ready for action.

Like all people, even I have the times when I just don’t want to get out of bed. It happens to us all. We have tasks which don’t seem promising, and we feel like no amount of sound from an alarm clock will get us to feel enthusiastic about the day!

If you are a self starter, you probably can relate to the last few paragraphs. You may not need an alarm, but sometimes it is essential. There are times of the year when we can work day and night, while other days, even a few hours can seem like a drag. And this totally applies whether it is a dead end job or if you are like me, following your passion.

Here is where life coaching really makes amazing things happens, in your life. If you calculate those times when you simply scratched your head, and didn’t know what to do or if you just couldn’t take action on some things that were or are important, you will find it takes up a lot of time.

This is wasted time, and sometimes our best opportunities present themselves at those times. This is why many fail to achieve, because at those most opportune times, they just can’t take action.

Life coaching becomes a valuable asset in high achievers lives. And I feel it is because we become accountable. If you run your own business, sometimes you may go down a gear or two. But with life coaching, this seldom happens.

It reminds us of school days, where we felt that we had to do what we were told. Whether you were a top grade student or you didn’t know why you had to be there, you still felt an urge to take action, when told.

Now, a life coach is not going to discipline you. They are not going to get a cane out! But, we still are paying a fee, and if we are serious about becoming outstanding in our field of endeavor, we feel inclined to act.

You don’t have to be rich to find a life coach! Visit find a life coach in. You may also want to check out an amazing formula that works: goal setting.

Why Become A Life Coach?

The life coaching profession has become increasingly popular. If you have thought about becoming a life coach, then read this article. We will be going into detail at why become a life coach, and the benefits of becoming a life coach.

There are many reasons in wanting to become a life coach. The biggest reason that people want to become life coaches, is that they can serve. These people have generally had life experiences which were trying times. They have now gone on to help others with solutions to the difficulties others are facing.

There is nothing like the fulfillment of having gone through trying times, and having got on the top of it all. What’s more, for life coaches, those experiences are valuable. I once remember hearing a question posed. Would not all your life experiences and what you learned be worth $10,000?

Imagine having gone through years of struggle, and utilizing that information to help others who are in those similar problems. There is nothing like helping others find solutions much quicker and without the tears, heartache, and late nights that those problems caused us.

We can see that fulfillment is a major concern for life coaches, and what they get out of it. This is why people become life coaches, it is in my case, however, there are also other reasons that people become life coaches. Some become one, because they have been into personal development for years, and it seems like a natural progression.

Money is another aspect of why to become a life coach. It is true that some life coaches can see $1,000,000 in fees from one client. However, this is not precedent, and is not something that all will be able to achieve. However, life coaching can produce amazing results in the financial sector. Not to mention that the knowledge you gain from experiences, will further help you create wealth on the long term.

Life Coach Training - Do You Really Need It To Become A Life Coach?

More and more life coaching training courses are becoming available today for budding life coaches. The life coach certifications available today are becoming more popular and have many benefits. But, the question arises; do you need life coach training to become a life coach?

The life coaching profession is not regulated today in almost all places. This makes becoming a life coach an easy process. It simply needs someone to wake up, and say they are a life coach.

This does not mean that such a person will be a successful life coach or even a professional one! Like any other kind of business, life coaching requires clients for you to become a success.

To get clients then requires you to be able to persuade that person to enlist your services. However, this can only happen if you have anything worthy to offer. For a lot of existing life coaches who started well before any life coach training and life coach certification was available this was simply done from personal experience and going through the trials and errors of life.

Today however, the picture is slightly different. There is talk that life coaching may become regulated, and if it does, life coach training and life coach certification will be the de-facto way of becoming a life coach.

Doing life coach training and life coach certification gives you many benefits. The first is that you don’t need to go through all the trials and errors of life. It allows you to carve your own destiny in a much more chosen fashion. You can simply look at the areas you like, and focus on those.

This for many life coaches has not been out of choice; instead it has generally been how life has given opportunities, and experiences. Another factor why you might want to consider life coach training and life coach certification is that some of the places that do life coach training will help you gain clients.

This alone can be an amazing reason to get life coaching training and certification. For all life coaches, this seems to be the major hurdle - that of finding clients to coach. The hardest aspect can be to get those first few clients. And if life coach training and life coach certification can help make that much easier, it has done a great job.

It is important to consider the long term benefits of life coach training courses. Some can simply be fads which give you the knowledge and a certification which is not very practical. It is important to research several places offering courses and consider which one is best for you and your needs.

You Don’t Need To Be On The Forbes 400 Rich List To Get Life Coaching

Life coaching is becoming more and more popular, but still the major question that many people ask is - don’t only rich people get life coaching? The truth is that more and more life coaches are becoming accessible. There is no need to be rich to get a life coach; in fact many people get to those positions because they found a life coach.

Trying to hire a life coach, 10 years ago, could have been a difficult task. There weren’t that many life coaches around. This made it difficult to afford a life coach. Most of the life coaches only dealt personally with people who were earning more than most people.

Today, the picture is much different than it was before. Since more and more people have got into personal development and self improvement, some has gone forward to become life coaches.

The key equation comes down to supply and demand. As there was not a lot of supply (life coaches) in the past, the life coaching fees were prohibitive to most. Today, however, there are many great life coaches who are providing life coaching.

The fee’s that life coaches charge has drastically decreased. This does not apply to the top life coaches. For example Anthony Robbins charges a fee of over $1,000,000 for life coaching.

How the price for a life coach has changed is that the supply has increased. This has made people to cater for all different types of people. The internet has made a big impact on life coaching also.

For example, an online life coach can offer his or her services, and not need to travel to meet clients. This has saved life coaches a lot of money, and allowed them to offer life coaching for more people.

The costs have come down, and allowed the life coach to have access to more people. All this has gone hand in hand with demand. And the result is fantastic. Life coaching sessions have been made accessible to more people, and more people are choosing to get coaching.

The life coach provides many benefits. Whether a person wants to find more direction or purpose, wants to achieve greater things, or even to lead the field, there is a life coach who can make the difference for you.

A point to keep in mind, however, with online life coaching and life coaching in general, is that there are many people who have no experience and want your money. Always try to get free life coaching or some material to test and see if what they offer holds water.

In the main however, the key to finding a good life coach that meets your needs is to do some research. Ask friends, family, and check online. See the free material, the free life coaching, and after checking a few decide on one.

Warning Of Fake Life Coaches

It seems like everyone and there brother is a life coach today! I remember going to a seminar last year, and it seemed like everyone in the audience was a life coach. I had lots of people offer me life coaching. Shame, I could have used the event like they did. But, is it time to give a warning of fake life coaches?

I often go to music events, and find it amazing at the amount of people who claim to be DJ’s or MC’s. I guess it becomes a common factor in many places. I am sure a real estate seminar has many people who go to them - being real estate investors - but have not even 1 property!

Enough of the rant, it is time to consider this matter. If you are looking for a life coach, then this article may help you in finding a life coach that meets your needs, and ultimately fulfills them.

A point to remember is that there are a lot of life coaches today, and a lot of them provide great service to those they serve. But, there are many who are all theory, with no experience.

It seems unfortunate that this should happen, but there are ways to figure out if a life coach can serve you. This should be your predominant goal when choosing a life coach. You obviously have a problem, that problem could be to get better at something, to achieve more of something, to get something, etc. And here is where a life coach can help you.

In deciding who you want to life coach you, you will need to do some research. The first point, is considering what you want life coaching for. Once you decide on this, you can keep tabs on your life coach, and how they are helping you.

In looking for life coaches, you will want to make sure that you get some testimonials. If a life coach is new, they should still have some testimonials, but never simply rely on this information. The key is what they can do for you.

The main things you want to do when researching, is to find some free information from the life coach. See if the information holds water. Apply the information, and see if it does indeed make an impact.

The next thing you will want to do is to contact the life coach. Find out the fees they charge. When trying to find the fee’s out, you want to give as little information about you as possible. You don’t want to tell them you have a multimillion dollar business, but just a business (if that is the case). This is important as some life coaches may use that information to give you a special price, which is much higher than they would have charged you.

Another point which really can help you, is to make sure that you get a free coaching session before you hire them. If a life coach asks for money before giving you something you can use, they are likely after your hard earned money, rather than helping you out.
